The Spice office is open between the hours of 10am and 5pm Monday to Friday. There is also a 24-hour answer phone.

How to join spice

Simply complete and return the membership form enclosed in your enquiry pack along with your credit card details, cheque or completed direct debit mandate or telephone the Spice office and join over the phone with your credit card. Alternatively you may also Join On-line.

Booking onto events

You can check event availability - and whether we have received a booking sent by you - by looking at 'current bookings' on the Spice Thames Valley & Solent Ltd website. You can book online at the Spice Website or complete and return your booking form at the back of this newsletter to the above address along with your cheque or credit card details. Alternatively fax your form with credit card details to 0118 972 4810. If you are using a credit note please remember to attach this to your booking form.

Please note: Bookings are only secure when payment has been received. You may lose your slot if another member wishes to book whilst your "cheque is in the post". Never simply turn up at a Spice event as this is unfair to those who have taken the time to book and it may mean a wasted journey if we cannot accommodate you.

Late bookings

We do sometimes have slots available at the last minute due to cancellations etc. Please call the office for details of slots available and be ready to pay by credit card to secure your place. Many events do sell out so the best advice is to book early to avoid disappointment.

Confirmation of bookings/cancellations

If we have an email address for you we are able to confirm your bookings when they are processed. We shall contact you if there is a problem with your form or if the event is full or has been cancelled. If you do require other confirmation please check the current bookings on the website. If you do not have access to the Internet please include an SAE with your booking form when you book or if you cancel and we can confirm by mail at the time of booking/cancellation.

If you can’t make it to an event

Contact the Spice office if you realise that you cannot make an event. This is important for several reasons. Firstly other members may be left waiting for you to arrive and this is obviously unfair. Secondly team events such as sports evenings may depend on your turning up for even team numbers etc. Finally if you let us know you cannot attend we may be able to issue a refund depending on the type of event. Guest policy

Guests are welcome on all Spice events. We usually ask Guests to pay a guest price, usually about 10% more than the member price - details appear in the event write-ups. You may only book guests onto an event after the 10th of the month, as members must obviously have priority in booking available slots. We ask that guests only attend 3 events, after which time we expect them to become members - in the long run this can work our cheaper as they do not have to pay guest premiums!

Contact details for someone you met on an event

Spice will send out limited contact information for purposes of liftshare to weekend events where appropriate. We are unable to give out personal contact details for any other purpose. If you meet someone you like on an event please ensure you get their contact details!
